why do we have to use alternative energy?

Many of my friends asks me why should we use alternative energy, and my simple answer is "coz its free?" and the follow up question would be, why am I not using one? it is because I don't have the resources and I don't have sufficient knowledge about it. But if I have those two main key to start? why not! 

Okay why do we have to use fossil fuels? I clearly don't know why, some said it generates more electricity than the alternatives but is it worth it? 

It is clear that the earth is undergoing some changes because of us. Global Warming is one! 

I think you know what's Global Warming is, but here is my definition about it. 

The earth is effing Warming! sea levels are rising, hotter summer , colder winter, strong rains, drought. For some they don't really experience it like us Filipinos. Because Philippines is laid in what they call the typhoon alley where most typhoon used to pass from the pacific. Here in the Philippines we experience 20 or more typhoon every year! so for us we are kinda used to it.. But lately the storms are a little bit stronger? wait what? "a little bit" its effing disaster! I think the world know what our country experienced last year from the super typhoon "Haiyan"  who destroyed so many houses and families in east Philippines. 

This is one of many examples of what is happening in our planet. Do we have to wait for another nightmare to happen in other places, because of the climate change? or we'll do simple action like lessening our carbon footprints and live GREEN! Big happenings starts with small beginnings.
